Introducing...The Deep End
Some writing lives on the surface; some belongs further down. The Deep End is my new monthly letter for paid subscribers - and the first one is free for everyone.
I wanted to share something new with you.
Over the past nine months of writing Jumping the Shark, I’ve realised that the pieces you respond to most are the ones where I let you a little further in - the essays on caring, grief, joy, and what it means to live inside these messy contradictions.
So, starting this month, I’m launching something called The Deep End.
It’s a monthly letter just for paid subscribers: a quieter space where I can write more intimately, share the fragments and behind-the-scenes pieces that don’t always fit into my main posts, and reflect without polish. Think of it as pushing out of the shallow end and swimming further down — where the water is darker and slower.
But before I tuck it behind a paywall, I want to show you what it feels like.
👉 The very first edition of The Deep End will be free for everyone.
That way, you can read it, see if it resonates, and decide whether you’d like to keep going deeper with me each month. I’ll be releasing it on Sunday 7th September.
Nothing will change for free subscribers - you’ll still get my regular essays in your inbox. But if you’d like to support my writing and get access to The Deep End as well, upgrading to paid will be the way to do it.
Thank you for reading and for being here. I can’t wait to share the first Deep End letter with you.
